A summer school for teachers was held at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University. The summer school was led by Board member, Vice-rector for IT and Strategic Planning Mahmud Tomanov, Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Nurlan Kulmyrzaev and IT specialists.

In order to improve the skills of teachers, a refresher course on the topic "Development of teaching methods through artificial intelligence" was organized. On the first day of the course, Daniyar Zhumabekov, Head of the Department of Education Development in the CIS countries of Microsoft JSC, was invited to hold a seminar on the topic: "Digital transformation at Korkyt Ata University: discover new opportunities through Microsoft AI".

The purpose of the course is to introduce the basic concepts and methods of artificial intelligence, to study the ethical aspects of using AI in education, to develop skills in using AI agents and data analysis tools to improve the educational process.

About 200 teaching staff of uniersity received theoretical and practical knowledge within 72 hours, mastered the basic concepts and methods of AI, machine learning, advanced learning, natural language processing, computer vision and methods of applying generative AI in the educational process.

During an hour of independent work, they acquired the skills of writing letters, searching for international partners, automating the preparation of letters and applications, developing targeted software financing and developing a project using an AI agent. The organizers of the course presented the AI NAVIGATOR 1.0 methodological guide to the participants for use during this summer school. 

At the end of the course, all participants were awarded certificates. Advanced training courses in artificial intelligence will be held in the future.
