NPP: a new project that will give impetus to the development of science

A public discussion about the nuclear power plant continued at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University. Members of the staff met with students of the Institute of Natural Sciences at the Students' Palace and talked about the construction of NPP.

At the meeting, the associate professor of the Eurasian National University named after L. N. Gumilyova, PhD scientist Nurlan Amangeldy and Vice-rector for Scientific Work and International Relations Mainur Abiltayevna gave reports. According to the speakers, the nuclear power plant will become an important project, giving a new impetus to the development of the economy, industry, education, and science.

Information was also provided on nuclear power plants under construction abroad, as well as information on the implementation of such a project in the country. It was about the possibility of participation in the project of four foreign companies interested in the construction of nuclear power plants in the country: Rosatom, EDF, KHNP and CNNC. The participants expressed their thoughts and showed activity.

It should be noted that a national referendum will be held in the country on October 6. It is expected that the issue of nuclear power plant construction will be fully resolved by popular vote.
