A new sports ground has been opened at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University

A new sports ground has been opened in 9^th academic building of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University. The solemn meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Karimova, who noted the achievements of the university in the field of sports and initial military training.

"Today, the educational program "Physical culture and initial military training" is equipped with 3 modern multimedia devices, lecture halls are equipped with new visual stands in accordance with the specifics of the specialty. In addition, there are 6 sports and fitness halls, 1 swimming pool, 4 outdoor playgrounds and a drill ground for primary military training specialties. The base of Seyhun sports and recreation complex is used in the training sessions," Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna said.

Currently, there are 16 teaching professors working in the educational program. Among them: 3 candidates of Sciences, 2 PhD, 3 holders of a master's degree, 8 senior teachers. The contingent of the general education program consists of 1,346 students.

During the event, the university champions were in the first line. Currently, 9 winners and prize-winners of the World Championship, 27 winners and prize-winners of the Asian Championship, 120 winners and prize-winners of the Kazakhstan championship are studying at the university. According to the results of the XII Summer Universiade, university athletes entered the top ten and won 37 medals. 

It should be noted that last academic year, a football field was put into operation at the educational institution.
