Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University was visited by a youth delegation from Antalya, Turkey, as part of the international Cultural Heritage project.

The foreign guests consisted of 16 people from Akdeniz University, Antalya University of Education, Antalya Youth Center.

The main goal is to activate the international project "Cultural Heritage" between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Turkey and Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

During the visit, Turkish youth got acquainted with Kazakh traditions, saw the life of the university, young people of two nationalities exchanged experiences.

We are united by history and culture

The university staff warmly welcomed the Turkic-speaking brothers who first set foot in the Kazakh country, including the Syr region. The honored guests witnessed the evening of acquaintances of the student organizations “JaStar" on the Alley of Writers.

The Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Karimova, specially participated in the event and honored foreign guests.

According to the program, the Turkish guests visited the sacred Karmakshi land and visited the Korkyt Ata mausoleum. They visited the village "III International", which united representatives of 11 nationalities.

There are no boundaries in science and education

After an enlightened trip, the university administration officially met with the delegation.

Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations Mainur Buribayeva and Vice-rector for Social and Educational Work Zhandos Bazartai spoke about the results of the work done within the framework of the project and presented memorable gifts.

"This is our first visit to the lands of our ancestors. From the first day, the Kazakh people greeted us warmly and show us their whole history. As a fraternal nation, we must instill heritage, historical relics, traditions in young people, and harmonize them with the requirements of the new age. The aim of the project is to revive cultural ties between these two countries. For Turkish youth, it was a huge platform for sharing experiences. I hope that our joint project will continue," said Remzi Polat, Director of the Antalya Youth Center.

In addition, the Turkish youth visited the academic buildings and the university museum, got acquainted with the material and technical base.

 After the meeting, the guests took part in events organized within the framework of the Week of Culture.

The Kazakh country is the original homeland of the Turkic world

The steppe of the Kazakh people is the cradle of the Turkic civilization, formed on the basis of a nomadic lifestyle. Today, our great values have their continuation in the Kazakh environment.

Honored guests from Antalya, Turkey got to know the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people better, watched performances by creative teams of the university.

The concert "Uly Dala auenderi" by the folklore and ethnographic ensemble "Didar" made a great impression with its performance at a high level.  The concert program consisted of Kazakh kuys and songs imbued with deep meaning and national spirit.

In addition, the Turkish delegation visited the Gypsy staging of "Shamshi Suigen Isolda" played by the youth theater. The play is based on events from the life of Shamshi Kaldayakov and tells a love story between two young people.

As part of the Culture Week, the guests took part in the presentation of the grand opening of the Center for Creative Circles for Children and Youth "SyrEtnoDesign". The guests visited a children's exhibition, where teenagers presented gifts made with their own hands. Next, they took part in the master class "Secrets of folk craft" with students of the educational program "Design and Technology“, got acquainted with national values.

"The embroidery, felt, and textile patterns presented at the exhibition are very beautiful. The originality and harmonious use of patterns were really impressive. Our cultures are intertwined. The Kazakh land is the land of the ancestors of the Turkic people. It is gratifying that this common culture is still going on,” said Kizban Gyurdal, Director of the Antalya Youth Center.

According to the program, the youth of Antalya spent fun and effective time with university youth in their free time. They got acquainted with the one-day life of Kyzylorda youth in a hostel, sang Kazakh songs on a cool evening in the Syr region and watched a film in the open air. And the sports games "Merry Relay Race" have further strengthened the friendly relations of young people.

During the visit, they went to the picturesque places of Kyzylorda, visited the Nazarbayev Intellectual School, the regional museum of Local lore. They met and exchanged views with the youth of the regional youth center and the republican public organization of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that the visit of the Antalya youth delegation was organized within the framework of the international project "Cultural Heritage" between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Turkey and Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The delegation of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University visited Antalya in June and exchanged experiences.
