Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University announces a competition for the election of a student ombudsman from among the students

Goal: 

Protecting the rights of students at the university, contributing to the solution of academic and social problems, creating opportunities for effective dialogue between students and the university administration by identifying the most suitable candidate for the post of student ombudsman.

Responsibilities:
 - Identification of a conscientious and responsible candidate capable of working in the field of student rights protection;

- Strengthening ties and trust between students and the university administration;
- Improving the quality of student life and participating in solving various socio-cultural problems.

Conditions for participation in the competition:

1. Full-time students of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University can take part in the competition.

2. The candidate shall have authority in front of students, be responsible and possess leadership qualities.

3. Candidates shall give specific recommendations on solving student problems and creating favorable conditions for students at the university.

4. Candidates submit their applications (autobiography, motivation letter, etc.) for registration for the competition to the Department of Social and Educational Work.

Stages of the competition:

1. Registration: from October 9 to October 13, 2024, candidates are registered in the main academic building, 3rd floor, office 316.  

 Participants shall submit their applications within the deadline.

2. Meeting with students of the Institute:  

From October 14 to 20, 2024, candidates shall meet with students of the Institute and residents of the dormitory and present their programs.  At this stage, candidates have the opportunity to communicate their ideas and goals to the public.

3. Announcement of the results of the competition:  

The winner will be determined on October 22-24, 2024 on the Instagram page @korkytata_university by collecting likes.  

The results will be published on the official website of the university.

Evaluation criteria:

- Reputation in front of students and experience;

- Innovative approaches to problem solving;

- The possibility of implementing the candidate's proposed program;

- Leadership and communication skills.

Responsible persons: 

The competition committee consists of the university teaching staff, representatives of student organizations and other competent persons.
