The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea delivered a lecture at Korkyt Ata University

A meeting with the Korean delegation headed by Woo Won Shik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, took place at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

It is worth noting that in 2023, Mr. Wu Won Shik was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" of Korkyt Ata University. And now the first official visit to Kazakhstan as the Chairman of the Assembly, Mr. Wu Won Shik, continued with lectures to university students.  

The Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Karimova, thanked the honorary professor of the University, Wu Won Shik, for his support in the development of initiatives in the field of education and technology. During the meeting, joint bilateral projects were discussed and proposals from the university were made.





The Chairman of the delegation from the Republic of Korea, Woo Won Shik, expressed gratitude to the university staff and expressed a desire to further strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership.

In addition, the delegation of the Republic of Korea got acquainted with the work of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, as well as with the work being implemented jointly with SeoulTech.

Please note that in the framework of the "Leading University Project for International Cooperation" (LUPIC), the Institute of Artificial Intelligence was established between Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) in 2023.

In the current academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan has allocated 100 grants to applicants studying under the SeoulTech programs, currently training has begun in 4 joint programs.







Starting from the next academic year, SeoulTech will implement double-degree educational programs in AI architect and Data management. From behalf of SeoulTech the laboratory classes are being opened, the necessary equipment and servers are being supplied to them, a business incubator Center is being opened and training of engineers to assemble drones is beginning.

In the future, within the framework of scientific and technical cooperation with SeoulTech, teachers will share their experience. Students can study in English and Korean.
