Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University took an active part in the Clean Kazakhstan campaign

Employees and students of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University held a clean-up day on the banks of Syrdarya River as part of the Clean Kazakhstan environmental campaign. This event is organized with the aim of protecting nature and improving environmental culture.

During the campaign, the university staff and students collected garbage on the riverbank and contributed to nature conservation. Special attention was paid to the sorting of plastic waste, as the project is being implemented within the framework of the program "3.2.1 Start!".

According to Shynar Shokpanova, manager of the G-Global Green Economy and Development Support Coalition, this project is not limited to garbage collection. "As part of the 3.2.1 Start! project, which involves 10 universities across Kazakhstan, we intend to give new life to plastic waste by sorting. Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University is actively involved in this project. When the winner of the project is determined, the winning university will be provided with a plastic recycling machine," says Shynar Shokpanova.

This project is aimed not only at improving environmental culture, but also at encouraging universities to support the green economy. The clean-up day once again reminded of environmental responsibility and the importance of nature protection.
