CONNECTED-2024: A new stage in the formation of Kazakhstan as an educational hub

An important step towards strengthening the role of Kazakhstan as a global educational center was the forum of strategic partners organized within the framework of the international conference "CONNECTED-2024" in Astana. The forum was attended by about 1,500 delegates from more than 20 countries, representatives of universities and international partners.

The main topic of the forum was "Education and science of the future". The event was moderated by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek. The forum discussed topical issues, challenges and prospects for the development of higher education.  The participants discussed ways to develop international cooperation in the field of education and science, and exchanged experiences.

In his report, Minister Sayasat Nurbek focused on the role of partnership in the development of Kazakhstan's education system and noted the goals of turning the country into an educational hub of Central Asia and Eurasia. A new impetus that will allow Kazakhstan to become a global educational center will be one of the main results of the forum.

Important agreements in the field of international partnership were also announced during the forum. In particular, Vice President of Seoul National University of Science and Technology Dr. Teihi Kim in his report highlighted the cooperation between SeoulTech and Korkyt Ata University and spoke about the 2+2 double degree program, which will begin in 2025. This program provides Kazakhstani students with the opportunity to study in Kazakhstan and South Korea in parallel and opens the way to train specialists in the field of high technologies at the international level.

It should be noted that an important cooperation agreement was signed between Korkyt Ata University and the Bydgoszcz University of Economics (WSG) of Poland. This agreement will bring the international partnership between Kazakhstan and Poland to a new level through joint scientific research and educational projects.

Such strategic initiatives will undoubtedly enhance the authority of Kazakhstan's education system on the world stage and contribute to strengthening international partnership.
