SMART CITY KYZYLORDA HACKATHON - 2024

A hackathon of IT projects "Smart City Kyzylorda Hackathon 2024" was held at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University with the support of Akim of Kyzylorda region, dedicated to October 25 - Republic Day.

This year, 330 participants and 98 projects took part in the competition, which is being held for the fifth time. The youth of the city and the district took an active part in the competition.

The total prize fund amounted to 1,500,000 tenge and 3 educational grants. According to the results of the competition, 3 teams from each section were recognized as winners. 

The main goal of the competition is to search for startup projects, digital solutions and talented specialists. Developing and increasing the interest of young people in the field of information technology, innovative projects within the framework of the "Smart City" reference standard.

"Smart City Kyzylorda Hackathon" provided for the development of projects in the areas of "Development", "Modeling", "Social and digital media".
This event allows to identify new promising innovative IT projects, implement new ideas, find resources, investors, and present the project to the general public.
The youth who presented the best projects of the competition were awarded by Yerlan Bakirov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Akim of Kyzylorda region.

As a result, Mukagali Zhantugel, who presented the "OMNI EYE" project, became the winner in the Modeling section, Myrzabek Yerkebulan and Serik Adil with the "LMS Course" project in the Media & Education section, and Sadibekov Erbol with the "AIDOS" project in the Development section.

In addition, a grant from the rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University was awarded to a student of school No. 264 Seydaly Yelzhan and a student of the Qstem school Duisenbai Adela and Berik Asem.
The winners were awarded certificates for 1st place – 250,000 tenge, 2nd place – 150,000 tenge, 3rd place – 100,000 tenge. In addition, several participants received prizes from the organizers and members of the jury.
