The scope of international partnership is expanding

Chairman of the Board-Rector of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University Beibitkul Karimov, Head of the International Relations Department Temirbolat Kenshinbai, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs Bayanali Doszhanov went on a business trip from November 25 to 29, 2024 at the invitation of the Howest University of Applied Sciences in the Kingdom of Belgium within the framework of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

During the visit, Rector of the University Beibutkul Karimova met with the President of Howest University of Applied Sciences, Mr. Frederic D'hulster, where she held talks on academic collaboration, exchange of teaching staff and students.

According to the memorandum, within the framework of the academic mobility program, students of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University were provided with free tuition for one academic period or one academic year. In turn, Mr. Frederic D'hulster noted that Howest University is also a partner of Seoul National University of Science and Technology in the field of IT. In addition, he noted that the development of relations between 3 universities will allow achieving great results.

The delegation also got acquainted with the campuses of Howest University of Applied Sciences in Kortrijk and Bruges, equipped with modern lecture halls, laboratories, and production facilities. They exchanged views on educational programs with the head of the Information Technology Department, Mr. William Schokkelé, the academic director of the SmartTech cluster, Wouter Gevert, and on new technologies and teaching methods with the teaching staff, Claudia Eikhout, Wouter Verweire, and Joachim François. A meeting was held at Howest University with students of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University studying with academic mobility.
