Mother is the light of life

A solemn meeting dedicated to International Women's Day, March 8, was held at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University. The festive evening was attended by the Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna, who noted the role of the ladies in society. In addition, she noted the work of women scientists who contribute to the development of the educational institution and responsibly perform their official duties.

"Today, out of 1024 employees, 694 are women, including 337 teaching staff, 3 doctors of sciences, 117 candidates of sciences, 33 PhD, 167 masters. There are 67 women scientists working in scientific projects, of which 31 are young scientists under the age of 40. Over the past three years, within the framework of the 500 Scientists project, 15 women scientists have completed internships at leading educational institutions in the world, and the research work of 8 young scientists has been supported by the Rector's Grant. Among the women scientists are Anipa Tapalova, Almakul Abdimomynova and Gulmira Abyzbekova, who have published many articles on international scientific databases,” said the head of the university.

Veteran teachers who have worked at the university for many years in the field of professional training were honored at the solemn event within the framework of the Silver University project. At the event, awards were given to colleagues who contribute to the development and prosperity of the region and the strategic development of the university. 

The festive evening ended with a concert of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, where the women were presented with flowers of attention.
