Scientists from Hong Kong shared their experience

The teaching staff of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University has completed two large-scale advanced training courses and mastered modern research methods.

The participants got acquainted with the latest trends in educational psychology. 

The final meeting of the one-week advanced training course was attended by Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Karimova, Member of the Board-Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dana Abdrasheva and teachers.

The purpose of the course is not to limit to theoretical knowledge, but to give participants the opportunity to improve practical skills, study artificial intelligence and digital tools, and gain the knowledge necessary to publish scientific articles in international journals.

The course “MODELING students’ motivation via Digital English communication" conducted by Dr. Ju Seong Lee directed teachers to understand the motivation of students in the context of digital learning. The course discussed internal and external motivation, motivational factors in a network environment, the development of attractive online content, methods for evaluating and providing feedback in a digital environment. The participants worked with modern applications such as Book Creator, Bitly, AskSmile, NotebookLM, Taguette, Jamovi, mastered the methods of writing scientific articles, data collection and coding in the IMRaD format.

As part of the course of Dr.  Norman B.Mendoza "Educational Psychology: teaching and research" the participants comprehensively reviewed the main theories of educational psychology and analyzed how they affect the learning process.

In addition, the participants uploaded introductory writing examples to the website and learned how to correctly format high-quality research results, encode tables and diagrams, correct and edit scientific articles. During individual consultations, the teaching staff, undergraduates and doctoral students received valuable advice on the proper development of a scientific project, the selection of international journals, clarifying research issues and improving research methodology.

At the end of the meeting, the teaching staff who took part in the course were awarded certificates.
