Korkyt Ata University awards scientists who have contributed to the development of science

The solemn event "Science will save the World – III", dedicated to the Day of Science Workers, was held at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University. The event was moderated by Maynura Buribayeva, Vice Rector for Research and International Relations. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Board-Rector of the university Beibitkul Karimova, teaching staff, young scientists and employees.

At the event, Rector Beibitkul Karimova noted: "Science is the future of the country. All conditions are being created at our university for the interconnection of science and education, and for young scientists to reach new heights."

The university's scientific achievements are also commendable. In 2020, 9 scientific projects worth 71.2 million tenge were completed, in 2024 this figure reached 750.7 million tenge, and 23 grant projects were implemented. For the first time, a regional university is implementing a program-oriented financing project aimed at wastewater treatment technology.

Over the past three years, 18 projects worth 105.8 million tenge have been implemented. And within the framework of the 500 Scientists program, launched on the initiative of the Head of State, 25 university teachers have completed internships at leading universities in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Belarus, and Azerbaijan.

From 2021 to 2024, 33 young scientists under the age of 40 won the grant. The volume of the university's internal grant is also increasing every year – from 2025 this amount will amount to 30 million tenge.

During the celebration, special awards were honored and presented to scientists working on the path of science.
