The «Humanity: not a day without nature» environmental olympiad achieved a successful outcome

As part of the «Pure Kazakhstan» project, an environmental olympiad themed «Humanity: not a day without nature» was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda university. The event was organized by the educational program «Electrical power engineering, technosphere safety and ecology» within the framework of the «Pure Kazakhstan» environmental campaign.

The objective of the event was to enhance the environmental culture of youth and foster a sense of responsibility for the environment.

During the olympiad, participants competed in several stages. Students wrote essays on ecology, expressing their views on nature protection. Besides, participants were presented with environmental-themed test tasks.
Following the olympiad, students, who demonstrated active participation, were awarded letters of appreciation and certificates.

The first place in the competition went to Fariza Amanbaeva, a student of the «Water regulation and land management» educational program. The second place went to Shakhnaz Ualikhanova, a student of the «Biology, geography and chemistry» educational program, and the third place was awarded to Meirhan Sansyzbai, also a student of the «Biology, geography and chemistry» educational program.

In the «Best essay» and «Best video» nominations, students Izbasar Amir and Aliaskar Altynbekov from the «Foreign languages and translation» educational program were recognized.

This event had a dual positive impact: it increased interest in environmental education at the university and contributed to the formation of a deeper understanding among students of the nature caring’s necessity.
