SeoulTech President Delivers Lecture to Future Engineers and IT Specialists

A delegation led by Professor Don Hwan Kim, President of Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech), arrived on an official visit to Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

As part of the visit, Professor Kim delivered a lecture for students of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence on the topic “IT Trends in Korea.” SeoulTech is recognized as one of South Korea’s leading institutions in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), and the lecture was a great opportunity for engineers and IT specialists to deepen their knowledge and gain insight into international developments in this field. 

During the session, Professor Kim shared up-to-date information on advanced technologies, digital transformation processes, and current global trends in the IT industry in South Korea. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with the speaker directly by asking questions.

The meeting also focused on prospects for joint research initiatives, collaboration in AI development, and the expansion of academic mobility programs for both faculty members and students.

Currently, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University is implementing four dual degree educational programs with SeoulTech. Under these programs, 100 students are studying on state-funded educational grants. This demonstrates the success and strategic significance of this international academic partnership.

It is important to note that the Institute of Artificial Intelligence was established at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University in 2023 as part of a national initiative announced by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This initiative aims to develop highly qualified specialists in artificial intelligence and foster scientific research through the creation of AI-focused centers at three major universities in Kazakhstan.
