International collaboration continues to grow

A delegation led by Professor Dong Hwan Kim, President of Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech), arrived on an official visit to Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University to advance collaboration within the framework of the dual-degree program.

Professor Don Hwan Kim and members of the SeoulTech delegation met with students from Nazarbayev Intellectual School (NIS), 125 High School, Bilim-Innovation Lyceum (BIL), and Abay School with specialized classes for gifted children with instruction in three languages.

During the meeting, Professor Kim provided an in-depth overview of the dual degree program and highlighted the unique benefits and academic opportunities available at SeoulTech. He also shared insights into the university's global academic standing and innovation-driven approach to education.

Participants of the event received detailed answers to their questions and gained insights into the features of the South Korean higher education system.

The dual-degree program is a unique project which offering students the opportunity to acquire international experience while obtaining a high-quality education. This project is expected to further strengthen cooperation between the higher education systems of Kazakhstan and South Korea, creating new opportunities for young specialists to become competitive in the global labor market.

It is worth noting that on June 12, 2024, an agreement was signed with Seoul National University to implement dual-degree programs in "AI Architecture" and "Data Management." Interest in the newly launched programs continues to grow steadily. In response, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University is actively organizing meetings with school graduates across Kazakhstan to provide career guidance and promote the new educational opportunities available.
