«Alchemy of the soul»: career guidance meeting for future chemistry teachers

At Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda university, from April 1st to 30th, as part of the scientific month «Science will save the world», the T.D. Kuanyshbayev scientific and educational center and the «Biology, geography and chemistry» educational program association are holding a series of educational events titled «Chemistry for life».

One of the significant events within this month was a Meet-up session dedicated to career guidance, themed «Professional experience and career: today's student – tomorrow's specialist». The event was attended by top graduates of the educational program 6B01515 – «Chemistry», as well as 3rd and 4th-year students.

The main goal of the meeting was to provide future chemistry teachers with professional motivation, to foster experience exchange and assist in defining their career paths. The program consisted of two parts: the first part was a dialogue platform in a talk-show format called «Chemistry in the heart». In this segment, leading industry professionals shared their experiences, discussing the challenges and achievements in their professional lives. The second part took place in the form of an educational game, «Quiz: chemists' competition». Graduates and students, forming mixed teams, demonstrated here their knowledge and professional skills by completing tasks based on chemical logic and solving pedagogical scenarios.

The event strengthened professional connections between students and graduates, also providing an impetus for the personal and professional development of future specialists.
