The XVII Republican Subject Olympiad in Geography was held

The XVII Republican Subject Olympiad on the educational program "B014 – Geography teacher Training" was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The event was attended by students from 18 higher educational institutions of the country.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to identify the level of theoretical and practical knowledge of students, improve their professional skills, and improve the quality of training for future geography teachers.

Maynura Buribayeva, Vice Rector for Research and International Relations, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening, wishing the participants success. She noted the importance of such events for young people, emphasizing the importance of training qualified geographers who are able to combine science and education for the benefit of society.

The Vice Rector for Social and Educational Work, Zhandos Bazartai, took part in the award ceremony. He congratulated the winners, expressing confidence in their further professional growth and significant contribution to the development of the education system in Kazakhstan. He also noted the efforts of all the participants, thanking them for their activity and desire for knowledge.

According to individual standings I place — Aisaule Baltabai (Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University); II place — Akberen Aizharyk (Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai), Nurislam Rakhmatali (Astana International University); III place — Toktultan Toktash (Karaganda University named after academician E. A. Buketov), Leker Nabiyev (Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov), Meirambek Shayakhmetov (Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov).

According to group standings I place — Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai; II place — L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University; III place — O. Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University, M. H. Dulati Taraz University and M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University.

The Olympiad allowed participants to deepen their knowledge, share experiences and demonstrate professional skills.
