Gabit Umirzakuly memorial tournament was held

For the first time, a mini-football tournament dedicated to the memory of veteran teacher, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor Gabit Umirzakuly Serikbayev was held at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University with the support of the Trade Union Committee and the teacher's family.

The event was attended by Board member - Vice-rector for Social and Educational Work of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University Zhandos Bazartai, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, academician of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kylyshbai Bisenov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans Bakhyt Kaliyev, the teacher's younger brother Sabit Serikbayev and his relatives, the university staff. 

The purpose of the tournament is to promote the work of a veteran teacher in the field of science and education, and to promote a healthy lifestyle. As well as strengthening friendship and cooperation within the university.

He started his career in 1980 as a teacher at the Musical Instruments Department of N.V.Gogol Pedagogical Institute. In 1991, he worked as the head of the department of N.V.Gogol Pedagogical Institute, in 2004 as the dean of the faculty of correspondence studies, secretary of the university admissions committee. By the decision of the Committee for Control in the field of education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RoK in 2008, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in pedagogy. From 2020 to 2021, he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Traditional Musical Art at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University.

It should be noted that the scientist has about 100 scientific papers and 2 scientific monographs.

6 teams took part in the competition. As a result, the Institute of Economics and Law took the first place, the Institute of Natural Sciences took the second place, and the Rector's team took the third place. In addition, the best players were awarded, and the tournament ended at a high level.
