The Friendship Cup Has Found Its Owner

The traditional mini-football tournament among the university’s teaching staff, employees, and students — dedicated to the transitional Friendship Cup established by the Chairman of the Board – Rector — was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

The university's Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work, Zhandos Bazartai, took part in the award ceremony and presented special diplomas to the winning teams.

The main goal of the tournament is to strengthen partnerships within the university community, promote mass sports, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

During the competition, teachers, students, and members of the rector’s office came together on the same field, enhancing unity and fostering friendly relations through football. 

Following the results of the tournament, the Grand Prix and the transitional Friendship Cup were awarded to the Rector’s team. Second place went to the team from the Institute of Pedagogy and Traditional Art, while the team from the Institute of Natural Sciences secured third place.

Additionally, players received awards in special nominations. Abylaikhan Seylbekov was named "Best Referee", Yesenzhol Nazarov — "Best Goalkeeper", Keulimzhai Botabayev — "Best Defender", Aidar Zholdas — "Best Striker", and Yerlan Baydarbesov — "Best Player".

It is worth noting that the Friendship Cup is held annually at the university and consistently generates great interest among all members of the university community.
