A Renowned Figure in Science and Language Arts

On the eve of the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, the Akim of the region, Nurlybek Mashbekovich, presented state and industry awards, along with personalized gifts, to citizens who have made a significant contribution to the spiritual development of the nation.

At the ceremonial event, Kali Omarov — editor-in-chief, publicist, ethnographer, and writer at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University was honored with the regional Akim’s Turan Award for his contributions to the fields of culture and literature.

Mr. Omarov is the author of nine published books (Tektiler Tagylymy, Tanym men Payym, and Epigraphic Monuments of the Kyzylorda Region, among others), more than 550 scientific, educational, and journalistic articles, essays, and features published in national newspapers, magazines, academic collections, and encyclopedias. In addition, he has served as editor for 83 books and academic compilations and as compiler of 17 educational and scholarly publications — notably, the SYR ELI Encyclopedia.

In recognition of his service to society, Kali Abdinovich has been awarded the state medal Yeren Yenbegi Ushin, as well as badges including Akhmet Baitursynov, For Merits in the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

We are confident that this esteemed writer and scholar, who continues to make invaluable contributions to the spiritual and intellectual development of our country, will go on to reach even greater heights.
