Constitution and Public Order

A visiting expert meeting titled "Ata Zan – Tauelsizdik Tiregi" (The Constitution – Foundation of Independence), dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

At the meeting, Maynura Buribayeva, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations at Kyzylorda University, spoke about the ongoing work in the field of law.

The main objectives of the event were to promote the role of the Constitution in society, to provide an in-depth explanation of its historical and legal significance, to enhance the legal culture of youth, and to foster legal awareness and civic responsibility.

Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aigul Kydyrbayeva, delivered a report titled "Ensuring the Supremacy of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan", in which she emphasized that upholding the Constitution’s supremacy is essential for preserving and strengthening the state's legal foundations. She highlighted that the Constitution is the highest legal authority in the country and serves as the standard against which all laws and regulations must comply. She also noted that constitutional supremacy reinforces the rule of law in society and ensures the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms.

Additionally, Aliya Berdibayeva, an expert from the Office of the Constitutional Court, delivered a report on "Access to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Current State of the Constitutional Control Body." She underscored the importance of ensuring accessibility and transparency in the application process to the Constitutional Court in order to safeguard constitutional rights effectively.

The meeting was also attended by Serik Adilkenovich, Senior Prosecutor of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Islambek Tulegenov, First Deputy Prosecutor of the Kyzylorda Region; as well as faculty members of the university.

The event served not only as a platform for information exchange but also as a vital space for dialogue, aimed at fostering legal awareness in society. A deep understanding of the values and principles of constitutional law is the duty of every citizen. Meaningful events like this are a significant step toward cultivating a legal culture.
