Global Gathering of Librarians: Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University Participates in IFLA-2025 Congress

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University is participating in the 89th IFLA-2025 World Congress, which has become a global gathering of librarians. The large-scale event is taking place from August 18 to 22 in Astana.

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is one of the world’s largest global organizations in the field of librarianship. It analyzes best practices in library services across different countries, contributes to the professional development of specialists, and promotes the advancement of information exchange.

This year’s congress, held under the theme “We Unite Knowledge, We Shape the Future”, has brought together more than 1,600 delegates from 114 countries.

Representing Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University at the event is Gulmira Satbayeva, Director of the Scientific Library. Her participation in this international forum contributes to expanding the university’s scientific and cultural relations, as well as enhancing the professional reputation of the Central Asian library community.
