The goal of a state-supported athlete is to reach the top of the world

My name is Almatov Alizhan, and I am a student at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. Sport is an integral part of my life. Currently I am a candidate for master of sports in grappling and pankration.

Till nowadays, I have achieved certain successes. Particularly, I became the world champion, two-time Open Asia champion, two-time Kazakhstan champion, and multiple winner of regional competitions. In addition, I won a silver medal at the Open Astana international tournament. I became the champion of the Kazakhstan Cup in pankration and also climb the podium at regional competitions. 

Today, our state pays special attention to young people. An open path to education, sports, creativity and art for all ages is a vivid testimony to faith in the future.

As an athlete, I constantly feel the care of our state in my life. I am grateful to my teachers and my homeland, who taught me and created opportunities for me to participate in competitions at various levels!

It is the highest honor for me to unfurl our blue flag before the world and raise it high. Every time I win, I take this blue flag in my hands as a sign of my loyalty to my homeland in my heart. I promise that I will continue to make every effort not to lower our flag from its height, but to raise the honour of our country.

My education at Kyzylorda University, named after the sacred Korkyt Ata, is a source of great pride for me.
