Korkyt Ata University’s International Cooperation Enters a New Stage

Chairwoman of the Board – Rector of Korkyt Ata University, Beibitkul Karimova, held an important meeting with scholars from Poznań, Republic of Poland. Among the guests were Professors Piotr Klimaszyk and Michał Rybak from Adam Mickiewicz University, as well as Professor Piotr Rżumski from the University of Medical Sciences.

During the meeting, both parties signed a bilateral memorandum aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of water resources management and environmental monitoring. Based on this agreement, future plans include the implementation of joint research projects, as well as the organization of joint expeditions and seminars.

The main directions of the memorandum cover efficient and rational use of water resources, study and monitoring of the regional environmental situation, research on climate change and its impact on ecosystems, exchange of scientific personnel, and joint internships for master’s and doctoral students.

In her address, Rector Beibitkul Karimova emphasized that the friendship and scientific ties between Kazakhstan and Poland have been steadily growing year by year. She also provided detailed information about the university’s recent achievements, the projects being implemented within international cooperation, and the institution’s future development strategy.

The Polish scholars, in turn, expressed their readiness to actively work on concrete projects in the near future. They highlighted the scientific importance of studying Kazakhstan’s natural resources and ecological systems and voiced confidence that joint initiatives would positively contribute to the advancement of science in both countries.

The memorandum marks a concrete scientific step towards expanding Korkyt Ata University’s international relations and ensuring regional environmental sustainability.

In the future, productive bilateral work will be carried out within the framework of this memorandum.
