Aral Sea Region at the Turn of Eras: History and Morality

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University hosted the international scientific-practical conference «The Aral Region at the Turn of Eras: History and Morality», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Kyzylorda as the capital and the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of Kazakhstan’s People.

The event was organized by Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and the KSU «Qogamdyk Kelisim» of Kyzylorda Regional Department of Public Development. The conference included a meeting of the scientific-expert council, the work of two sections, and a plenary session.

The plenary session was moderated by Meirambek Shermagambet, Deputy Governor of Kyzylorda Region. Beibitkul Karimova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, presented a report on «The Contribution of University Scientists to the Development of the Region».

Also in the conference participated: Aigul Saduakasova, General Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Chairperson of the Republican Scientific-Expert Council; Seidulla Sadykov, Professor at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, Doctor of Philological Sciences; Metin Erdogan, Lecturer at Eskisehir Osmangazi University; Kairat Anarbayev, Director of the Department of Educational Work and Youth Policy at South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after Uzbekali Janibekov, Candidate of Historical Sciences; and Gabit Tuyakbayev, Professor at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Candidate of Philological Sciences. They presented their reports and outlined scientific concepts.

At the Republican Scientific-Expert Council, Mainura Buribaeva, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, shared plans dedicated to the university's 90th anniversary. The session moderator also spoke about joint scientific projects being implemented with the Seoul National Science and Technology Institute.

Aitzhan Orazbakov, Chairman of the Kyzylorda Regional Scientific-Expert Council, delivered a report on the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s People Assembly and on projects aimed at strengthening the values of unity and harmony.

Historians, scientists, doctoral students, educators, and local historians from various regions of the country participated in the work of the two conference sections.

In the first section, there were heard scientific reports «The Development Process of the Aral Sea Region at the Turn of Eras». The second section focused on «Paths to Forming the Kazakh Model of Interethnic Harmony».

The international scientific event is dedicated to the comprehensive study of the historical, cultural and social development of Aral Sea Region, as well as the promotion of the interethnic harmony and unity principles.
