A round table discussion was held on the topic «The Legacy of Abay – A School for a Dignified Life»

As part of the educational program «Kazakh Language, Literature, and Journalism» at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, there was held a round table discussion, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great thinker, poet, and educator Abai Kunanbayev, entitled «The Legacy of Abai – A School for a Dignified Life», organized by the head of the Koniratbayev literary circle, Aiman Aitbayeva.

The purpose of the event was to provide young people with a deeper understanding of the creative and philosophical legacy of the national teacher, as well as to discuss Abai's thoughts on humanity, labor, knowledge, and spiritual quests in the context of modern values.

The event was attended by faculty, students, and young researchers.

Club members gave presentations on topics such as «Abai and Moral Attitudes», «Words of Edification – A Source of Spiritual Education», and «Abai's Commandments to Youth», sharing their thoughts. Students also expressively read Abai's poems and performed short scenes dedicated to the poet's work. Through literary and poetic compositions and videos, participants expressed their respect for the life and work of this great personality. During the round table, the significance of Abay's legacy in the spiritual revival of Kazakh society, the formation of national identity, and human values were discussed at length. The event featured lively discussions and exchanges of views, with participants emphasizing the importance of the great poet's ideas in educating the current young generation. 

Serikhan Zhuzheev, head of the Kazakh Language, Literature and Journalism educational program, also gave a speech, noting the significance of the event. He highlighted that Abay's wise thoughts and moral principles are an eternal educational school for the younger generation, and called on students to engage in creative exploration and strive for spiritual development and enlightenment. At the end of the event, organizers expressed their gratitude to active students, and discussed further plans and directions for the activities of the Koniratbayev literary circle.
