For his active public service, Abdizhalel Bakir was awarded the medal «For Valiant Labor»

On the eve of Republic Day, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Abdizhalel Bakir, Scientific Director of the M. Shokay Research Center at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, was awarded the medal «For Valiant Labor».

At the solemn ceremony dedicated to Republic Day, the Governor of the region, Nurlybek Nalibayev, presented state awards to a number of citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development of Aral Sea region. Among those who received such honorable recognition was Abdizhalel Bakir, a journalist, Doctor of Political Sciences and Professor. 

Abdizhalel Bakir is a specialist in the history of the «Alash» movement, having studied the figures of this movement in depth. Particularly, he has done extensive work translating Mustafa Shokay's articles, published in Russian, French, German and English into the Kazakh language.

The research and scientific investigations of the teacher-scholar are a valuable legacy, contributing to the development not only of education and science, but also of national spirituality as a whole. Abdizhalel Bakir's activities in protecting national interests, his scientific discoveries and his pedagogical experience will remain an example for the younger generation.
