Presidential Advisor Malik Otarbayev met with youth, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation

Malik Otarbayev, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with scientists, students and young researchers of the Korkyt ata Kyzylorda university.

The meeting was attended by Meyrambek Shermagambet, Deputy Governor of Kyzylorda region, and Beibitkul Karimova, Chairman of the management board – Rector of the university.

The main goal of the meeting was to hear the region's youth opinions and establish feedback on the directions outlined by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Message to the Kazakhstan’s Folk, «Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence: current issues and their solutions through radical digital transformations».

Beibitkul Karimova moderated the gathering and reported on the progress of implementing the instructions from the Message within the educational institution.

Furthermore, Malik Otarbayev stated that supporting youth is a central focus for the President. The Presidential Advisor spoke to the youth about the importance of education and science for the development of a progressive nation.

During the meeting, he also explained the main directions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's Message, «Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Issues and Their Solutions Through Radical Digital Transformations», and discussed the progress of implementing the priority tasks set forth in it at the regional level.

In his speech, Malik Otarbayev noted that, as emphasized in the Message, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and the effective application of new technologies are key factors for economic growth and improving the quality of life for the population. Special attention was paid to the importance of introducing innovations in agriculture, education, healthcare and public services. Concurrently, the youth shared their thoughts and ideas on personal development in the country.
