Representatives of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University participated in the QS Eurasia Forum 2025

On November 25–26th, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, hosted a major international higher education event — the QS Eurasia Forum 2025. Current year’s forum was held under the theme «Expanding horizons: building global bridges in higher education» and aimed at strengthening connections among universities in the region and expanding partnerships within the international educational landscape.

The forum brought together representatives of higher education institutions from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as regional and international experts and distinguished leaders in the higher education field. Among the participants were Sayasat Nurbek, minister of science and higher education of Kazakhstan Republic; Emin Amrullayev, Minister of science and education of Azerbaijan Republic; Professor Erol Ozvar, chairman of the higher education council of Turkey; and Nunzio Quacquarelli, president and CEO of QS Quacquarelli Symonds.

The forum featured extensive discussions on key issues in higher education, regional development priorities, current trends and emerging challenges. As a keynote speaker, Kazakhstan’s minister of science and higher education, Sayasat Nurbek, emphasized Eurasia’s role within the global education ecosystem. He highlighted the importance of enhancing academic mobility, advancing transnational educational programs and promoting innovation in workforce training. The Minister also stressed the positive impact of higher education on the socio-economic development of the region and the relevance of expanding international cooperation.

15 Kazakhstani universities took part in the forum, presenting their educational programs, research initiatives and international collaboration efforts.

The event included five major plenary sessions covering key areas of higher education. Participants discussed the opportunities offered by the QS Stars system, the role of women in shaping the higher education landscape, strategies for global university engagement, approaches to preparing for QS world rankings and new trends in international student mobility.

During the forum, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University was awarded the «QS Stars» certificate, recognizing the university’s international achievements and its strong performance in delivering high-quality education.

It is worth noting that Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University ranked 593rd in the «QS Asia University Rankings 2026».

The QS Eurasia Forum 2025 served as an important platform that enhanced the international standing of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and outlined new directions for future partnerships.
