A creative project by students of Korkyt Ata University was recognized as the best at an international festival

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Beibitkul Karimova, received the students who took prize-winning places at an international festival and congratulated them on their creative achievements. The Rector highly praised the youth's aspirations and their interest in art, noting their contribution to enhancing the university's prestige.

Students of Kyzylorda university named after Korkyt Ata participated in the international film festival «Miru – Mir» («Peace to the World»), which took place from November 24-26 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and returned with an honorable result.

The festival, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, aimed to foster patriotism among the younger generation, strengthen historical memory, and promote cultural ties.

Young directors from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Mongolia presented short films on the theme of war and the continuity of generations for the competition. The event included film screenings, discussion platforms, and creative meetings.

This film «The Last Witness of the War», shot by students of the Korkyt Ata University, was highly praised by the audience and the festival jury and received the nomination for «Best Screenplay».

The head of the creative group is Ayagoz Kozhamyrzaqyzy, a senior lecturer in the educational programs «Kazakh Language, Literature, and Journalism».

This achievement is a clear testament to the professional pursuit and creative potential of the Korkyt Ata University students.
