Effective financial management and cybersecurity: The «Silver University» project continues

As part of the «Silver University» project, the center for professional development and continuing education conducted a 10-hour seminar-training on the program «Modern financial management: cybersecurity, digital payments, and personal budget» for the «Kyzylorda center for special social services no. 1».

The seminar-training was led by Makaenova Aigul Akimzhanovna, a senior lecturer in the «Finance, Accounting, and Audit» educational program, and a candidate of economic sciences.

During the training, current issues of financial and digital security relevant to modern society were comprehensively discussed. Specifically: The modern role of online banking and QR payments. The advantages of cashless payments, methods for their safe use, as well as strategies for protection against financial internet fraud, fake links, phishing attacks, social engineering, and mechanisms for preventing these threats were explained. Furthermore, the importance of personal data protection culture, the security of personal information in the digital environment, as well as passwords and two-factor authentication were highlighted. Opportunities for processing payments and applications through digital services for pension and social benefits, as well as egov and mobile app services, were presented.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the head of the Center for professional development and continuing education, Nurkhan Abdykalykov, presented participants with special certificates and wished the older generation success.

The final part of the meeting was dedicated to answering questions and exchanging opinions. Concurrently, patients undergoing treatment expressed their sincere gratitude to the university staff.
