Youth unemployment problem was discussed at Korkyt Ata University

A scientific and methodological seminar on «Regional peculiarities of youth unemployment and ways to reduce it» was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

The seminar was opened by Mainura Buribaeva, Vice-Rector for scientific work and international relations, who noted that youth employment is one of the university's priorities. She also spoke about the systematic work aimed at developing students' professional skills and strengthening cooperation with employers.

Experts at the regional and university levels, faculty, and students participated in the seminar.

Yerbolat Bazarbekov, Chief Specialist of the «Work with civil society institutions and youth» department of the Regional public development administration, delivered a report on the current state of youth policy and state-level programs.

Dinara Zhylkyshieva, Head of the NEET Youth department at the Youth resource center, spoke about measures for the social adaptation of young people not engaged in education, employment, or training, as well as attracting them to educational and employment opportunities.

Yernur Sapar, a specialist from the Employment promotion and employer interaction department of Kyzylorda city career center, presented a report on the regional peculiarities of youth unemployment, sharing data on the unemployment rate in the region, in-demand professions, and vacancies for young people.

Zhanna Smagulova, a senior lecturer in the «Economics and Management» educational program and an economist, presented a scientific analysis on the topic «Regional peculiarities of youth unemployment and ways to reduce it».

Abay Shainurov, a senior lecturer in a similar program, emphasized the university's role in youth employment and expressed gratitude to the seminar participants.

During the seminar, participants discussed issues related to reducing youth unemployment, training specialists in demand on the labor market, and strengthening ties between the education system and employers.

In conclusion, proposals were made, and participants highlighted the importance of cooperation between government agencies and universities in the field of youth employment.
