«Silver University» project: educators master new digital skills

At Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, within the «Silver University» project, a seminar-training was held for faculty members over 55 years old on the topic «A Step into the digital world: using smartphones, egov, online services, and artificial intelligence in everyday life».

During the seminar-training, the Head of the university's center for professional development and continuing education, Nurkhan Abtikalykov, spoke about the «Silver University» project as a whole. Additionally, the Head of the University's trade union organization, Aitzhan Orazbakhov, provided a brief overview of the work being fulfilled on the «Silver University» project and made suggestions for future activities.

The main goal of the event was to enhance the digital literacy of specialists of the older generation, provide support in mastering new technologies, and train them in the effective use of modern digital services in their daily lives.

Participants of the seminar got acquainted with important topics such as utilizing advanced smartphone features, accessing eGov and online government services, digital payments and security, and the application of artificial intelligence in daily life, at work, and in teaching activities.

The training was conducted by Zhanarys Tubekbayev, the head of the Kyzylorda HUB center at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, who offered participants practical exercises and provided comprehensive answers to their questions. The participants showed great interest in acquiring new knowledge and further improving their digital skills.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Nurkhan Abtikalykov, Head of the center for professional development and continuing education, presented certificates to the participants.

Such kind of educational and beneficial events will be continued in the future.
