A budget of 30 million tenge has been allocated to support young scientists' initiatives

At Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, grants are awarded annually to support the scientific research of young scientists. This year, the total amount of grants reached
30 million tenge, with 20 projects emerging as winners.

A total of 27 projects were submitted from the university for the competition, 20 young scientists’ projects of them were recognized as the best.

According to the competition terms, scientists under 40 years of age and 1st-2nd year doctoral students presented their research work.

This initiative is aimed at supporting the research activities and innovative projects of young scientists. Furthermore, it contributes to enhancing the university's scientific potential and the implementation of innovative research at regional and national levels.

Since 2021, the university has been allocating special grants for conducting research work by young scientists under 40. Nowadays, 53 projects have received financial support, totaling
80 million tenge.

Besides, since 2021, the educational institution's overall scientific income has increased eightfold. Alongside this, the activity of the teaching staff in publishing articles in indexed journals grows annually. Specifically, in 2025, 83 scientific articles were published in the Scopus database and 37 scientific articles in the Web of Science database. The university publishes 8 scientific journals for the dissemination of research results.

It should be noted that in 2021, authors of 4 projects received university grants, in 2022 –
6 projects, in 2023 – 8 projects, and in 2024 – 15 projects. The competition for young scientists has been traditionally held for 4 years.
