A significant conference was held in Auelbek Konyratbayev 120th anniversary’s honor

A scientific and practical conference, part of the international «Konyratbayev readings», was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University on the theme «Auelbek Konyratbayev and the spiritual heritage of Turkic peoples: new paradigms in the study of folklore and literary history». The event was aimed at widely popularizing the scientific legacy of the outstanding scholar, folklorist, and researcher of literary history, Auelbek Konyratbayev.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Mainura Buribayeva, a board member of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and Vice-Rector for research and international relations, delivered a welcoming speech. In her speech, she highlighted the key role of the event and wished all attendees profitable participation and successful achievement of the set goals. Buribayeva emphasized the relevance of Auelbek Konyratbayev's works in the fields of Turkology, folklore, and literary studies for contemporary science.

During the session, insightful reports were presented by: Ulzhan Zhanbershiyeva, Professor of the «Kazakh Language, Literature, and Journalism» educational program at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, candidate of philological sciences; Seyfullah Yıldırım, Professor at Gazi University (Turkey), doctor of sciences; Gaukhar Askarova, candidate of philological sciences, professor at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University; as well as Gülzira Oralova and Asiya Almutova, senior lecturers of the «Kazakh language, literature, and journalism» educational program, candidates of philological sciences.

Besides, their research was shared by: Nurlan Nurmakhanov, senior lecturer at «Bolashak» University, editor-in-chief of «Alimsak» magazine, candidate of philological sciences; Seidali Biyalov, senior lecturer of the «History and archaeology» educational program at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, PhD; and Kunimzhan Kudaibergenova, senior lecturer of the «Kazakh language, literature, and journalism» educational program, PhD. They focused on new scientific directions and methodological principles in the study of the spiritual heritage of Turkic peoples.

It should be noted that during the event, important proposals were voiced regarding the study of Auelbek Konyratbayev's scientific works, the examination of folklore heritage in a new light, and modern paradigms for researching literary history.

The international conference made a significant contribution to the exchange of experience for the scientific community, the professional development of young researchers, and a deeper understanding of the Turkic world’s spiritual values.
