ANNOUNCEMENT: Call for Applications for the Academic Mobility Program «International Chinese Language Teachers and Students Scholarship (ICLTS)»

The International Relations Department of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University announces the acceptance of applications for the academic mobility program «International Chinese Language Teachers and Students Scholarship (ICLTS)» for the 2026–2027 academic year. The program provides an opportunity to study at our partner institution, Hubei University of Education (HUE), Wuhan, People’s Republic of China.

This scholarship is intended to support international students and in-service Chinese language teachers in continuing their studies in the Chinese language and related disciplines.

The scholarship program covers tuition fees, accommodation, a monthly stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance for the entire period of study.

The program is open to: undergraduate and master’s degree students (excluding final-year students) aged 16 to 35 and practicing Chinese language teachers aged up to 45.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

1.        An application addressed to the Head of the University, including full personal details of the student/teacher (institute, major, group, passport details, residential address, and email address);

2.        Copies of the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the national identity card;

3.        HSK/HSKK certificate: for most majors: HSK Level 3 (score ≥180) + HSKK; for majors in Chinese Language and Literature, History, and Philosophy: HSK Level 4 (score ≥180) + HSKK Intermediate Level (score ≥60);

4.        Academic transcript for students, or a diploma with transcript for teachers;

5.        Letter of recommendation;

6.        Certificate of no criminal record;

7.        Medical certificate certified and permitting overseas study.

The deadline for submission of complete application documents is April 15, 2026.
