University wins grant for project commercialization

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University has achieved significant success because of systematic work on the implementation and commercialization of scientific results into production. The university has become a winner in the competition for the commercialization of scientific developments for 2025–2027, organized by «Science Foundation» JSC.

Following the competition, the project «Organization of innovative production of biologically active supplements from maral antlers and meadowsweet extract», led by university scientist and project manager Anar Tumashinova, received high praise and grant funding amounting to 350 million tenge. Currently the project is operational. This project aims to integrate domestic science and production, as well as to create high value-added products based on natural raw materials.

The main goal of the project is to implement innovative technologies to produce biologically active supplements from maral antlers and meadowsweet, scientifically substantiating their medicinal properties. This initiative is designed to increase the range of domestic products aimed at strengthening public health, substitute imports, and boost the development of the biomedical and pharmaceutical industries.

The project will be implemented at the production base of «AKTIV GROUP» LLP located in the Katun-Karakay district of the East Kazakhstan region. The choice of production site will allow for the effective utilization of the region's natural resource potential, as well as the establishment of close scientific and production ties with local enterprises.

This achievement demonstrates the high scientific potential of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, as well as the effectiveness of the university's targeted work in adapting science to market demand and bringing innovative projects into real production. The aforementioned project represents a significant contribution by the university to scientific and innovative development at both regional and national levels.
