A scientific meeting was held at Korkyt Ata University to mark the 80th anniversary of Zhenis Sadvakasov

At the solemn assembly, chaired by Mainura Buribayeva, Vice-Rector for research and international relations, the entire university staff honored the jubilee scholar. The highlight of the event was the presentation of the prestigious Akhmet Baitursynov’s medal from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of KR.

During the meeting, Bolat Boranbay, candidate of philological sciences and linguist, delivered a report on the life and career of Jenis Sadvakasov, highlighting his significant contribution to Kazakh linguistics. Warm words were also expressed by professor, doctor of technical sciences Serikbay Koshkarov, candidate of philological sciences Ulzhan Zhanbershiyeva, as well as colleagues and students of the scholar.

The event was attended by Zhandos Bazartay, Chairman of the Kyzylorda Regional Branch of the «Amanat» party; Aitzhan Orazbakov, Chairman of the University trade union organization; Berik Saimaganbetov, Head of the Department for youth affairs and educational work at Bolashak Kyzylorda University; representatives of colleges, relatives, friends, and students.

Besides, Martana Dauletova, Director of the Language training center of Kyzylorda regional department of public development, presented the scholar with an honorary diploma of Kyzylorda region on behalf of the regional Governor and extended her best wishes.

Jenis Sadvakasov is an outstanding scholar who has made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh linguistics. He has been successfully working in the field of science and pedagogy since 1979. In 1988, the scholar successfully defended his Candidate's dissertation, and in 1997, his Doctoral dissertation.

The professor has reviewed over 60 scientific works and dissertations and served as an expert for 25 dissertation works. Under his guidance, a postgraduate student defended a Candidate's dissertation, and over 20 master's students successfully defended their works and now are working in various higher educational institutions.

The scientist published around 150 scientific and methodological works. For his many years of dedicated work and significant contribution to science, he was awarded numerous accolades, including the medals «10 Years of the Republic of Kazakhstan», «10 Years of Astana», «20 Years of the Republic of Kazakhstan», as well as the «Korkyt Ata» gold medal from the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, the «Akhmet Baitursynov» order, the «Y. Altynsarin» badge, and the «Native language» («Ana tili») honorary sign.

Zhenis Sadvakasov's contribution to science and education, as well as his efforts in developing the Kazakh language, serve as a great example for the younger generation. The scientist's life path is a vivid model of honesty, diligence, mentorship, and civic responsibility. The staff of Korkyt Ata University sincerely congratulates the mentor on his anniversary.
