Opening of professor Bagdat Karibozov’s auditorium at Korkyt Ata University

A solemn event was held within the walls of Korkyt Ata University, dedicated to the opening of the new «Literary theory» auditorium, named in honor of professor Bagdat Karibozov, doctor of philological sciences.

The ribbon for the auditorium was ceremoniously cut by Acting Rector Dana Abdrasheva; honored worker of Kazakhstan, academician of the National academy of sciences, Doctor of technical sciences, professor and rector of Kyzylorda Open University Kylyshbay Bisenov; university veteran, doctor of technical sciences, professor Serikbay Koshkarov; and doctor of philological sciences, professor Bagdat Karibozov.

The event was attended by representatives of the regional intellectuals, faculty members, colleagues, friends, and students of the scholar.

Acting Rector Dana Abdrasheva highly praised Professor Karibozov's work and conveyed congratulations from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as from the rectors of several higher educational institutions.

Besides, Bagdat Karibozov's daughter, Ainur Bagdatovna, was awarded the university's highest honor – the «Korkyt Ata gold medal».

At the solemn event, Deputy Governor of the region Meirambek Shermaganbet delivered a congratulatory speech and conveyed warm wishes from the Governor of the region. Also, Zhandos Bazartai, Chairman of the Kyzylorda Regional Branch of the «Amanat» party, expressed his congratulations and noted that the scholar's work serves as an example for young people.

During the event, a student read a dedication to Bagdat Karibozov, and Marat Sugirbay performed Bazar Zhyrau's recitative (terme).

The new auditorium stands as a testament to the deep respect for the work of a scholar who dedicated his life to literature and science, as well as his pedagogical mentorship.
