The new Rector was officially introduced at the regional active meeting

Nauryzbay Baikadamov was introduced as the new Chairman of the Board - Rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University at an active meeting, chaired by the Governor of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev.

The meeting was attended by Murat Yergeshbayev, Deputy of the Parliament's Council; Gulzat Kobenova, Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education; representatives of the intellectuals; heads of law enforcement agencies; heads of departments and territorial departments; and, online, the active residents of Kyzylorda city and all districts, members of the academic council, and the faculty staff of Korkyt Ata University.

The head of government instructed the regional governors to lead regional scientific and technological councils and organize their work personally. The necessity of approving scientific and technical assignments based on the results of regional specialization and foresight studies, jointly with the National Academy of Sciences, was also noted. 

The Governor of the region emphasized the university's high potential in coordinating these tasks and highlighted the importance of the educational institution's active participation.

"Scientists and graduates of the university must play a special role in managing the scientific and innovative development of our region. Comprehensive support will be provided by the Governor’s office. I urge everyone to actively participate in this endeavor with high responsibility", said the head of the region.

At the meeting, participants wished the new rector success and discussed tasks aimed at enhancing the university's scientific and educational potential, as well as contributing to the socio-economic and spiritual-cultural development of the region.

Nauryzbay Seitkaliuly graduated from the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University in 1991 with a degree in "History and French language". He began his career as a teacher in a rural school, and in 1994, he returned to his alma mater as a lecturer. Within the university, he held various leadership positions, and from 2008 to 2013, he served as the Vice-Rector for Educational work. Having worked at the university for about 20 years, he made a significant contribution to its establishment as a multidisciplinary regional educational center. 

Nauryzbay Baikadamov is a candidate of historical sciences, a well-known social scientist, and the author of about 150 scientific and educational works, as well as several books. Since 2013, he has served in state office, holding positions such as Head of the Regional education department, Deputy Governor of the region, Secretary, and Chairman of the Regional Council. He also worked productively in the socio-political sphere, serving as Deputy Chairman and First Deputy Chairman of the regional branch of the "Nur Otan" party, and subsequently as Chairman of the "Amanat" party’s regional branch.

From April 2024 to February 11, 2026, he was a Member of the Parliament Senate of KR, a member of the Committee on constitutional legislation, judicial system, and law enforcement agencies. In his legislative activities, he raised pressing issues of the region and facilitated the allocation of necessary funding from the republican budget.

The university staff places great hopes on the new Chairman of the Board – Rector and expresses support for his initiatives in the field of education and science development. It is expected that the work on the strategic development of the educational institution, the enhancement of scientific potential, and the expansion of international cooperation will receive new impetus in the future.
