The rector of Korkyt Ata University received a delegation from the US Embassy in Kazakhstan

A meeting with representatives of the U.S. Embassy was held at the Korkyt Ata University in Kyzylorda, aimed at expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation. This year marks the 10th anniversaryof the Memorandum of Understandingsigning.

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of the university, Nauryzbay Baikadamov, presented the potential of the main educational institution of Syrdarya region to the distinguished guests. Embassy representatives expressed their gratitude to the university staff for their active partnership, the professionalism of specialists, and the creation of favorable conditions for the implementation of joint educational initiatives.

The "New Access Program" was presentedduring the meeting, aimed at improving the English language proficiency of students. The implementation of the "English Access Program" for students of non-linguistic specialties, including STEM fields, was also discussed. Within the project, special attention is paid to mastering professional terminology and developing academic English. Korkyt Ata University became the first higher educational institution in Kazakhstan selected to participate in the pilot project.

The meeting also touched upon the issue of establishing cooperation with employers and preparing students in accordance with the requirements of specific companies. 2nd and 3rd-year students will be able to participate in Job Fairs and enhance their competitiveness in the labor market.

The program includes the development of volunteer initiatives with the aim of fostering civic values among youth. Graduates of the program will be awarded Alumni certificates.

This meeting, which has given impetus to strengthening international partnership, will open new opportunities for the university's students and faculty.
