The Rector held a meeting with the faculty of the Engineering and Technology Institute and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Nauryzbay Baikadamov, met with the faculty of the Engineering and Technology Institute and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence. They discussed the educational process and development prospects of the institutes at the meeting, also faculty proposals and opinions were heard.

During the meeting, the Director of the Engineering and Technology Institute, Bakytbek Abzhalelov, focused on the institute's human resources potential, providing detailed information on the qualitative indicators of the faculty, the proportion of specialists with academic degrees, and the work on supporting young scientists. Specific information was also presented on the institute's structure, implemented educational programs, student enrollment, and graduate employment rates.

The issue of scientific grant funding was also addressed. Projects implemented at the institute, research within republican and international grants, connections with industrial enterprises, and commercialization opportunities were discussed. The need to improve performance in this area, enhance the quality of scientific publications, and increase the number of articles in international rating databases was noted. Questions were also raised about expanding elements of dual education and training specialists adapted to regional demand.

The University Rector issued specific instructions regarding the on-time defense of doctoral dissertations, improving the quality of scientific supervision, and increasing the percentage of scientific potential. Besides, proposals for revising job descriptions and utilizing artificial intelligence capabilities in creating class schedules to optimize the educational process were supported. 

At the meeting, which provided impetus for defining the future development directions of the institutes and fostering team cohesion to achieve a common goal, the Rector also touched upon issues of constitutional reform and the republican referendum. The faculty discussed the main changes in the new draft of the Basic Law and exchanged views on the impact of constitutional reform on societal development and its significance in strengthening legal culture.
