Institute of Natural Sciences: Meeting with the Chairman of the Board - Rector

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Nauryzbay Baikadamov, held a meeting with the staff of the Institute of Natural Sciences.

During the meeting, strategic directions for the institute's development, improvement of the educational process, and issues of international cooperation were discussed.

The Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences, Gulzhas Toktaganova, delivered a report on the institute's work, its current achievements, as well as upcoming plans and important tasks at the gathering. According to the director, the institute is making efforts to train students in accordance with modern requirements while maintaining high standards in education.

Currently, the Institute of Natural Sciences offers 16 bachelor's degree programs, 8 master’s programs, and 5 Doctoral programs. The total student enrollment at the institute is 2412 students at the bachelor’s level, 225 in master’s programs, and 32 in doctoral programs. Besides, there are 128 international students, which contributes to expanding international cooperation and enhancing the quality of education globally.

During the meeting, directions for implementing dual degree programs were also considered, and issues related to the development of projects allowing students to simultaneously study at higher education institutions in two countries were discussed. It was noted that such programs make a significant contribution to improving students' professional qualifications, expanding their research skills, and accumulating international experience.

In his address to the institute's staff, rector Nauryzbay Baikadamov outlined key areas of work aimed at improving the educational process, activating research activities, and increasing the competitiveness of graduates on a global scale, which aligns with the university's overall development strategy. It was also emphasized that special attention is paid to students gaining international experience by expanding academic mobility programs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants offered their suggestions aimed at improving the educational process, implementing scientific projects, and enhancing student potential.
