Kyzylorda in the Spotlight: The semifinals of the intense Digital Qazaqstan Battle startup competition were held

The event took place at the Kyzylorda Hub of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, as part of the national technological forum Digital Qazaqstan.

The main goal of the competition is to develop technological entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan, identify promising startup projects, and provide them with further support.

The Digital Qazaqstan Battle, with a prize fund of 19 million tenge, is an important platform that unites innovative projects from all regions of the country. The competition consists of several stages: first, projects are selected by the organizing committee and an expert commission, then the best projects are determined in regional semifinals, earning them a ticket to the final. The final stage will take place on March 27, 2026, in Shymkent, as part of the national technological forum Digital Qazaqstan.

Twelve innovative startup projects from various fields participated in the Kyzylorda semifinal. Participants presented their projects to the jury, which evaluated their effectiveness, innovative potential, and market development opportunities.

Among the projects participating in the semifinal were startups FoodLink, Cortex AI, Zhailau AI, Sheber.kz, EPICfolio, PhishGuard, PrepAI, AgriX, MediaHub, Kutim.kz, EcoQogam, and ProjectZero AI.

The semifinal jury included Sabit Ibadulla, Head of Kyzylorda regional digital technologies department; Gani Ernazarov, Director of "JSOFT" LLP; and Anton Baev, Head of "Grand Technology" company. While evaluating the projects, experts paid special attention to the scalability of the startups, their innovative appeal, development indicators, and team composition.

"Participating in the Digital Qazaqstan Battle semifinal was a great experience for me. Presenting my project to experts and receiving their recommendations and evaluation is an important step. Now I will try to represent our region with dignity in the final", said Asylzhan Abdullayev, author of the winning project Cortex AI.

Based on the evaluation results, the best project was determined, which will represent Kyzylorda region in the Digital Qazaqstan Battle final on March 27^th in Shymkent.

According to Zhanarys Tubekbayev, Head of Kyzylorda Hub, this competition allows for identifying talented IT teams in the regions and elevating their projects to a new level.

The Digital Qazaqstan Battle competition is one of the key initiatives aimed at supporting technological startups and developing the innovative ecosystem in our country. Such platforms provide young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to present their ideas, receive feedback from experts, and take their projects to the next level.
