The international engineering competition "Pi-Synergy – 2026" was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University

The final stage of the International Engineering Mindset Competition "Pi-Synergy – 2026" took place at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

The competition aims to develop students' engineering, scientific, and project thinking skills, support innovative ideas, and strengthen international academic cooperation.

Student teams from Kazakhstani and foreign universities participated in the final stage of the competition, presenting their scientific and engineering projects. The event served as a platform for students to exchange experiences, generate new ideas, and establish professional contacts.

At the grand opening of the event, Mainura Buribayeva, Member of the University Board – Vice-Rector for research and international relations, congratulated the participants and guests, noting the importance of the international competition. In her speech, she emphasized the significance of engineering thinking and innovative projects for societal development.

According to the competition program, participants competed in two stages. In the first stage, teams introduced themselves according to the theme "Team – a potential leader of future technologies", while in the second stage, participants completed tasks based on engineering cases and defended their projects before experts.

Student teams from leading universities in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan participated in the international competition.

During the competition, participants presented their projects in the areas of sustainable development and ecology, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, construction and architecture, applied mathematics, and educational technologies.

Based on the competition results, the jury determined the best teams, and the winners were awarded.

First place was taken by the team from the Kazakh national women's teacher training university. Second place was awarded to teams from Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University and
K. Satbayev Kazakh national research technical university, while third place went to teams from Uzbekali Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh Turkish University, and the Kazakh Academy of Architecture and Construction.

Additionally, teams that distinguished themselves with their original ideas were awarded special nominations.

The international competition "Pi-Synergy – 2026" contributed to the development of the research potential of young engineers, supported innovative projects, and strengthened scientific ties between universities. Furthermore, this event served as an important platform for the advancement of STEM education and the cultivation of a new generation of future engineers.
