Korkyt Ata University hosted a seminar on improving educational programs

A methodological seminar on the development of double degree programs and joint educational programs was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The main goal of the event was to develop international cooperation, ensure the high-quality design of educational programs, and discuss ways for their effective implementation.

The opening remarks were delivered by the Chairman of the Board – Rector Nauryzbay Baikadamov, who emphasized the importance of the seminar. Nauryzbay Seitkaliuly noted the special role of double degree programs and joint educational programs in training competitive specialists at an international level. Besides, he stated that such programs allow for an increase in the university's academic potential and elevate the quality of education to a new level.

The seminar was moderated by Dana Abdrasheva, Vice-Rector for academic affairs. The event was attended by the university's leadership, faculty, and heads of educational programs.

During the seminar, participants were presented with the theoretical and practical foundations for developing double degree programs and joint educational programs. Issues related to forming skills for effective program planning and implementation, as well as developing professional competencies for coordinating educational programs within international partnerships, were also discussed.

Akmaral Bukharbayeva, Head of the Department for coordination of educational programs and planning of the educational process, delivered a presentation on "The procedure for developing double degree programs, joint educational programs, minor programs, and micro-qualifications". In her speech, she clarified the main stages and requirements for program development, sharing practical recommendations. 

The methodological seminar aimed at developing international cooperation between universities, as well as the high-quality design and coordination of educational programs. Participants got acquainted with modern approaches to program development, regulatory requirements, and best practices. This, in its turn, will allow for an improvement in the quality of programs, ensure their compliance with labor market demands, and strengthen the university's institutional potential.

Concluding the event, a Q&A session was held, during which participants asked their questions of interest and offered their suggestions.
