Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University announces a competition to fill the vacant position of Senior system administrator in the Infrastructure solutions department

To participate in the competition, the following documents must be submitted:

1)    an application for participation in the competition;

2)    a copy of an identity document of the applicant;

3)    the applicant’s CV (service record) with a 3x4 color photograph;

4)    copies of educational documents and their supplements, with originals provided for verification;

5)    a copy of a document confirming employment history, certified by the HR department at the current or most recent place of work;

6)    a list of scientific publications and inventions (if any);

7)    Form №075/u “Medical Certificate (professional medical advisory opinion)” approved by Order № RK DSM-175/2020 of the Acting Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 30, 2020 (registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 4, 2020, № 21579);

8)    a certificate issued by the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the presence or absence of a criminal record.

Submission of an incomplete set of documents as specified above shall constitute grounds for refusal to accept the application. 

The applicant has the right to provide additional information related to their education and professional level (e.g., a list of scientific publications, references from previous employers), as well as documents confirming work experience and qualifications.

The Senior System Administrator must have the following knowledge and skills: knowledge of national IT standards; knowledge of server technologies; experience in preparing technical requirements and specifications documentation; knowledge of information security requirements; experience in administration of virtualization systems; experience in administration of domain infrastructure; experience in administration of data storage systems from various vendors; experience in administration of backup systems; knowledge and practical skills in administration of various operating systems (Linux, Windows) and services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, mail systems, proxy servers, firewalls); knowledge of legislation in the field of informatization; practical skills in working with server equipment and system software; relevant certifications are an advantage; knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, industrial sanitation, and fire safety; knowledge of document management and record-keeping basics.

Prepares reports and other technical documentation on the level of protection of technical equipment and premises; Identifies violations and participation in implementing measures to eliminate identified information security deficiencies.

Qualification requirements of Senior System Administrator: Higher (or incomplete higher) education in a relevant field with at least 1 year of work experience, or secondary technical and vocational education (specialized secondary/professional education) in a relevant specialty.
