The 2nd Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Forum of University Rectors

On April 6th, 2026, an international exhibition was organized at the Innotech powered by Arizona State University venue as part of the II Forum of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan higher educational institutions rectors. The event aims to further develop cooperation in higher education between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The solemn opening of the exhibition was attended by Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Kazakhstan, and Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Representatives from more than 25 higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the forum, where important negotiations were held, aimed at expanding partnership in education and science between the two countries.

In its turn, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University signed agreements on mutual cooperation with
5 leading universities in Azerbaijan. These agreements lay the foundation for the development of academic mobility, the implementation of joint educational programs, and the strengthening of partnerships in the research sphere.

Currently, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University has established close cooperation with Azerbaijani universities within the academic exchange and the "Orkhus" program. Particularly, university students are studying at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport, and a number of students are continuing their studies at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics in the 2025-2026 academic year.

These initiatives contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between the higher education systems of the two countries, elevating knowledge exchange and scientific integration to a new level.
