Aral Sea day was marked as part of the Science month
Water management specialists and environmental scientists reviewed the present and past of the Aral Sea, recounting its tragic fate at the event.
Students were presented with a book by veteran hydro-engineer Alibek Sabyrbayev titled "Ships left in the sands".
During the event, students and master's students participated in the "GEOGRAPHICAL PUZZLE", "ECO-CELL", and "ECO-BUNKER" competitions.
Each group presented three ideas for the restoration of the Aral Sea.
The winning academic group was GI-23-1, which best defended its strategy for solving water supply problems, ensuring healthcare, preserving life, and taking steps towards the future.
The academic group B-23-1 took second place, and academic group B-23-3 secured third place.
